About DaVita Clinical Research

DaVita Clinical Research (DCR) provides comprehensive multispecialty (Phase I-III) clinical trial services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Since our founding, our organization has conducted more than 350 clinical trials with more than 150 pharmaceutical companies. At DCR, we help scientists and doctors. We think helping to cure people seems like a good goal to have. But we need your help, too.

Before drugs or medical devices can be sold or used in this country, they must first be tested for both safety and effectiveness. After undergoing testing in laboratories, these drugs and medical devices need to be tested in humans, too.

A Vital Part of Drug Development

Depending on the drug or device, sometimes these tests need to be conducted in healthy people. Other times, the testing must be done in patients with a particular disease or disorder.

That’s why we have an ongoing need for people like you — individuals who are willing to participate in clinical research in order to advance science in ways that may lead to cures for kidney, liver and heart diseases as well as for diabetes, cancer and other devastating medical conditions. Without you, and people like you, many who are suffering may have to wait longer for a cure.

We hope you find participating in a research study to be rewarding. You’ll be helping people in need of new drug therapies that are not currently available. We may ask you to stay in one of our research facilities for a period ranging from overnight to several days — although both shorter- and longer-term studies are possible. Rest assured, our state-of-the-art facilities are safe and comfortable with upscale amenities. At predetermined times, you may be asked to give a sample of blood or urine, but otherwise, you are free to read, study, watch television or use the recreational facilities. Plus, where appropriate, we’ll compensate you for your time.

Your participation in one of our studies is important in the search for cures and treatments to help millions of people.
